Is GATE Compulsory for PSUs?
Various PSU specifies the eligibility criteria for recruitment through GATE in their official notification. Usually, the essential eligibility criteria needed to apply for the recruitment methodology for PSUs in India are as follows –
- Age Limit: The age limit for various PSUs is usually between 21 and 28 years but 35 years for specific PSUs.
- B. Tech/B. E Qualified: The minimum pass percentage is 60% or 6 CGPA in B. E/B. Tech.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates should be medically fit.
- Valid GATE Score of the current year: The validity of the GATE Scorecard depends upon the particular PSU that recruits through GATE. However, in most recruitments, the GATE Score of the current year is acceptable.
