Eligibility Criteria for EIL MT Recruitment 2022
The eligibility criteria for EIL recruitment through GATE 2023 are shared in the points below.
- Candidates with full-time Engineering degree courses, ie. BE / B.Tech./ B.Sc (Engg) can apply for EIL recruitment through GATE 2023.
- The minimum qualifying percentage is 65% marks.
- Students who passed out in 2022 or 2023shall be eligible to apply. Candidates passing out in the year 2021 or before are not eligible.
- Candidates who have final year/semester exams in mid-2023 and are yet to receive the result of the qualifying degree should specify the percentage marks up to the last result declared.
Age Limit for EIL MT Recruitment
The upper age limit for general candidates is 25 years for EIL MT recruitment. The age limit for other category candidates is shared in the points below.

- OBC (Non-creamy layer) 28 yrs
- SC/ ST 30 yrs
- PWD(General) 35 yrs
- PWD (OBC-NCL) 38 yrs

Selection Procedure for EIL MT Recruitment
The shortlisting of candidates shall be based on the score obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2023 score followed by an Interview. All candidates eligible for interview will be paid to fro limited to III AC Sleeper Rail Fare by the shortest route from the mailing address, as mentioned in the application, to the interview centre.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on GATE-2023 scores in the following disciplines:

Training
