The English section of SSC CHSL is moreover the same as of SSC CGL exam. You can expect to see the following topics:
- Reading Comprehension/ Cloze Test
- Vocabulary Section
- Grammar
The Vocabulary questions might repeat from the previous year's papers, like antonyms, synonyms, one-word substitution, idioms and phrases etc.

The question's difficulty and topics of GA will be of Higher Secondary (10+2) level. However, you have to be updated with the last 6 months of current affairs and the recent events held. You can expect the following types of questions:

- Polity (2- 3)
- Science (2 - 3)
- Current Affairs (4 - 5)
- Sports (2 - 3)
- Government Policies and schemes (2 - 3)
