UP SI 2021 Career Growth and Opportunities

UP SI selected candidates to have to undergo a training period of 11 to 12 months and then complete a probation period of 2 years. After minimum of 7 years of service, Sub-Inspector gets promoted to 3-star Inspector (promotion is done on a seniority basis) and with a minimum of 15 years of service, record and direct interview, Inspector gets promoted to DSP which is a gazetted post. Here are the details of the earned leave, casual leave, and special leave entitled to SI of UP Police:

Earned leave: 31 days (Employee can take continuous leave of 31 days) (employee can also encash up to 300 days)

Casual leave: 30 days (Employee can take continuous leave up to 3 days OR 7 days OR 10 days and not more than that)

Maternity leave (in special cases): Maternity leave, leave without pay
