In an official announcement, the MOF on behalf of GOI stated on twitter that ‘Normal recruitments through govt. agencies like UPSC, SSC, RRB, etc. will continue as usual without any curbs’. Here is the twitter clip regarding the official statement:
Earlier on Friday dated September 04, 2020, Ministry of Finance through its Department of Expenditure (DOE) posted a circular stating that ‘There will be a ban on creation of new posts, except with the approval of Department of Expenditure, in Ministries/ Departments, Subordinate Offices, Attached Offices, Autonomous Bodies and Statutory Bodies.
The circular also mentioned that ‘If any posts which have been created after July 01, 2020, under delegated powers or authority, without the approval of Department of Expenditure and have not yet been filled, then such posts shall not be filled. If it deemed absolutely essential to fill the posts then such posts will be filled after written approval of Department of Expenditure’.
