SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis: Overall Analysis
- In this shift Reading Comprehension (passage) was asked in English section. The level was moderate.
- General Awareness section was a bit complex and the level was also difficult.
- In the Quant section, DI of 4 questions was asked which was simpler and less calculative.
- Reasoning section was similar to earlier shifts.

- The level of this section was similar to earlier shifts.
- There were no questions from the counting of figures.
- Question asked from Clock and Calendar was easy.
- Question asked from Cubes and Dice was easy. (Based on which of the following cannot be formed)\
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis: General Awareness
- The level of this section was similar to last 3-4 days' exam but it was difficult than exam conducted before 16th August 2017.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis: Quantitative Aptitude
- The level of this section was similar to last 3-4 days' exam but it was easier than exam conducted before 17th August 2017.
- Only 4 questions were asked from DI.
- Many candidates have said that One question of series was wrong. The correct option was not given.
- Wrong Question: 3rd term and 8th term of series are -1 and 19 respectively. Find out the sum of first 11 terms?
Solution: a3 = a+2d = -1 , a8 = a+7d = 19
After solving the equation, d = 4 and a = -9
Hence, a11 = a+10d = 31
sum of 11 terms = 11*(-9+31)/2 = 121
- 3 questions from geometry were asked. (All questions were based on triangles and not on circle.)
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis: English
- Surprising: In this shift, Reading Comprehension (Passage) was asked (Challenges to lose weight).
- Rest pattern was the same.
- Antonyms and Synonyms were difficult.
- Idiom Phrases and One word were moderate.
- Idiom Phrase: Keep the bay
- One Word: One who is fond of Music - Melomaniac
- Spelling errors were also moderate.
