RPF Constable Ancillary Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2019 (CBT 1, 2, 3)

RPF Ancillary Syllabus 2019: RPF board has invited applications for 798 candidates eligible for the post of RPF Constable (Ancillary). In this post, we will discuss the exam pattern and the syllabus of this particular RPF Ancillary exam 2019. But before moving further with examination details, we would like to remind you that the application link is active and candidates can register themselves online before the closure of application form i.e., till 30 Jan 2019 (11:59 PM).

 

RPF Constable Ancillary Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2019

The whole recruitment process comprises 4 stages namely,

  • CBT (Computer Based Test)
  • Physical Efficiency & Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Trade Test (TT)
  • Document Verification (DV)

Let's discuss in detail the CBT Part which is the first stage of the selection process.

  • The exam duration is of 45 min and a total of 60 questions would be asked. Each question carries 1 marks and there is negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer given.
  • CBT is qualifying in nature and one needs to secure a minimum of 35 % marks(30% marks by SC/ST) in order to appear in the second stage of the process. 
  • Candidates shall be given language options for CBT and out of 15 languages they can opt for any one language for the exam to be conducted in the same language. The languages are Hindi, English, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Konkani, malayalam, kannada, marathi, gujurati, bengali, odia, assamese, manipuri and punjabi.
  • The examination will be based on 10th/Matric level.

Stage 2 - Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement (PMT)

  • Candidates will have to undertake the PET & PMT after qualifying the CBT. This stage is qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded. 
  • Male Candidates failing to meet the eligibility criteria such as minimum height, chest(expanded/unexpanded) will be disqualified in the process.
  • Ex-servicemen shall be exempted from the PET. However, they will have to undergo PMT.

Stage 3 - Trade Test

  • After qualifying PET and PMT, candidates shall undergo the Trade test. 
  • This test will carry 40 marks and is qualifying in nature i.e., candidates must score a minimum of 40%(35% for ST/SC) to qualify further stages of the selection process. 
  • While appearing for this test, candidates will have to bring their own tools or instruments.

Washerman

Gardener

Any two of the following:

(i) Transplantation

(ii) Making grafts

(iii) Maintenance of plants, knowledge of seeds and their sowing season, fertilizers and indigenous manures.

Tailor

Any two of the following:

(i) Taking measurement and stitching of shorts

(ii) Capability to carry out minor repairs, maintenance & trouble-shooting of the sewing machine.

(iii) Knowledge of tools/machines used in cutting, tailoring, etc.

Cobbler Knowledge of shoe repair, Shoe Polishing, punching neat holes in leather.
Water Carrier
  • Washing and cleaning of vessels
  • Kneading of Atta and making chapatis
  • Cutting of vegetables
  • Anyone of the following : Cooking rice/vegetable/dal/sambhar/meat/fish/kheer

Stage - 4: Document Verification

The last stage of the selection process is document verification. Candidates will be called for DV based on their performance in the CBT and PET/PMT.
