- Milkha Singh got the title of ‘The Flying Sikh’ after he defeated Abdul Khaliq who was the fastest man in Asia in 1958
- Before the race, Abdul Khaliq had won the gold medal in 100 meters race and Milkha Singh had clinched the gold medal in 400 meters race. And with beating Abdul Khaliq in 200 meters race, he took the honour of the ‘Asia’s best Athlete’
