RRB NTPC Exam Analysis 29 January 2021 (All Shifts): The phase-3 of RRB NTPC 2020 is already on its way. The phase-3 of one of the most popular exam is scheduled to be conducted from the 31 January 2021 and will be continued till 12 February 2021. Shift-1 and shift-2 of 29 January 2021 have been successfully conducted. Without much ado, let's us check the analysis for both the shifts and the questions asked in the exam. Exam Analysis 29 January 2021 (All Shifts): Main Highlights & Takeaways

The difficulty level of both the shifts of 29 January was moderate. According to the candidates, the Quantitative section and the General Intelligence and the reasoning section were easy to solve. The questions were familiar and following the pattern of the previous shifts. However for this shift as well the General awareness section was a pain point for aspirants.  A good number of attempts for shift-1 can be taken as 75-81 and for shift-2, it should be 76-83. 

RRB NTPC 2020-21 Exam Analysis 29 January (All Shifts): General Awareness

The difficulty level of the General Awareness section was moderate. Candidates had difficulty in solving. While some questions were repeated from previous shifts, a few were unexpected questions too. Also, there were more questions seen from some sub-sections in particular. On can expect, 29 - 32, a good number of attempt.

Given below are points to be noted as per the feedback given by the aspirants: 

  • There were 2-3 questions were seen from Science. Unlike previous shifts, there has been an increase in science questions. 
  • There has been a shift in the questions’ weightage from modern history to Ancient and medieval history. In shift-1, 2 questions were seen from medieval history and remaining 1-2 questions from modern history. Total there were 3 – 4 questions from history.
  • 2-3 questions were seen from Geography as well as Polity. Geography questions were based on the rivers and tributaries and location of national parks. Polity questions were centred around the articles of the constitution etc.
  • Moving forward, Computer section, there were 2 – 3 questions from this section. Questions were based on Volatile memory of a computer and some short forms.
  • Current Affairs section had been a challenge for the aspirants from the beginning. There were 5-6 questions were posed from this section. It is important to note that questions were asked on the last 3 -5 years currents affairs on the books and authors, awards, sports events and government launched schemes. Some questions were asked from 2020 as well. 
  • Compared to the earlier shifts, the Static General knowledge questions were few in number
  • There were 2 questions seen on taxes too. Candidates can expect more questions like these in upcoming shifts.
  • If exam takers are to be believed, the difficulty level of the General Awareness section in both the shifts was moderate.

RRB NTPC 2020-21 Exam Analysis 29 January (All Shifts): Mathematics

The mathematics section in today’s shifts was easy to moderate. There were no out of pattern questions in this section. According to the exam takers, 24-26 is said to a good attempt.

Some of the highlights of the Mathematics section from shift-1 and shift-2 of 29 January 2021

  • There were 3 - 4 questions appeared from each of the following topics, Speed, time and distance, SI and CI, Profit and Loss and trigonometry.
  • Questions from speed time and distance were based on the speed of the train. 
  • Around 2-3 questions appeared from the Number system. From simplification, there were 1-2 questions.
  • Speaking of Data interpretation, there were 3-4 question from this topic which were easy to solve
  • from Statistics there were 2 questions, 2-3 questions from trigonometry and 1-2 questions from geometry. 

RRB NTPC 2020-21 Exam Questions Asked in 29 January (All Shifts): Mathematics

  • If x + 1/x = 5, find 3x/(2x²-5x+2) 
  • If a train crosses a 600 m and a 200 m bridge in 80 seconds and 40 seconds respectively, then find the length of the train. 
  • When a number is divided by 7, the remainder is 5. Find the remainder when the square of the same number is divided by 7. 
  • Supriti and Suhana can complete a work together in 36 days. They began work together, but Supriti left after 12 days and consequently the work was finished in 45 days. Find time taken by Supriti to complete the work alone. 
  • A shopkeeper suffers 7% loss when an article is sold at 90% of marked price. Find the profit/loss if the article is sold at the marked price. 
  • Find the time period required to earn Rs 3328 interest on an amount of Rs 20000, if the rate of interest is 8% per annum compounded annually. 
  • A train crosses a man and a 260 m long platform in 10 seconds and 20 seconds respectively. Find the length of the train. 
  • Find the area of a triangle whose coordinates of the vertices are (1,0) , (1,-1) and (1,1). 
  • The difference between the interior and exterior angles of a regular polygon is 60°. Find the number of sides of the polygon.
  •  Find the 10th term of the sequence 2, 7, 12,......
  •  LCM and HCF of two numbers is 330 and 11. If one of the numbers is 55, then find the other. 
  •  A person travels half of the distance at 50 kmph and the remaining half at 40 kmph. Find the total distance travelled by him, if he completed the journey in 18 hours.  
  •  If at simple interest, a sum of money triples in 3 years, then find the time period in which the sum will become five times of itself. 
  •  Angles of elevation of the top of a tower from two points lying on the same side of the foot of the tower are 45° and 30°. Find the height of the tower. 
  •  If cot⁻¹(-1/√3) = 𝛂; find the value of 𝛂.

RRB NTPC 2020-21 Exam Analysis 29 January (All Shifts): General Intelligence & Reasoning

The General Intelligence and reasoning section has been the most favourite section for the candidates in RRB NTPC exam. Given the fact that there had been regular changes in the question pattern in the other two sections, this section was a relief for aspirants. Following the pattern, questions in the reasoning section were moderate in the difficulty level. For this section, 25 – 27 can be taken as a good number of attempted questions.

  • Aspirants specifically pointed out that around 3 – 4 questions were asked based on finding the code of a particular word with the help of three given statements.
  • There were 3 – 4 questions based on coding and decoding.

  • From the missing number section and distance and direction, 2-3 questions were asked from each.
