PGCIL has asked aspiring candidates to apply online for GATE 2023 to become eligible for Graduate Executive Trainee posts. PGCIL Executive Trainee Recruitment: Educational Qualifications

Candidates in their final year expect their final results to be released before 14th August 2023 are also eligible to apply for PGCIL recruitment through GATE 2023. Candidates who want to apply for PGCIL Executive recruitment should obtain a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters. PGCIL Recruitment Through GATE 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for PGCIL recruitment through GATE 2023 are given below in the table. Candidates can also check the GATE codes (disciplines) in which candidates must appear in the GATE 2023 examination. Candidates will be eligible for PGCIL recruitment for Executives only if the candidate has appeared in the following GATE disciplines paper.

Age Limit for PGCIL Executive Trainee

The age of the candidates for the PGCIL recruitment for an Executive Trainee must be up to 28 years as of 31.12.2023 (Candidates should have been born on or after 01.01.1993)

PGCIL Recruitment Through GATE 2023: Executive Trainee Selection Procedure

The selection process includes marks attained in the GATE 2023 corresponding paper, group discussion, and personal Interviews. In addition, eligible candidates must take the relevant GATE 2023 paper in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering branches. Check the details below for more details about the selection procedure. 

• Only candidates who have passed the respective GATE 2023 paper will be considered for the next selection round.
• Based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2023, qualified applicants will be shortlisted category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interviews in the respective exam.
• Candidates shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Interview shall be required to bring documents as mentioned in their Interview call letter.
• The Interview qualifying percentage for different categories are as mentioned below:

Marks Weightage  of Different Parameters for PGCIL Recruitment Through GATE 2023

The weightage of different parameters for calculating a candidate’s final score for Interviewing and group discussion are indicated below. Candidates will have to qualify in GATE 2023 and Personal Interviews separately to qualify for empanelment.

Apply Online Procedure for PGCIL recruitment Through GATE 2023 

POWERGRID will release a separate notification with details regarding the number of vacancies and important instructions regarding the online submission of the application form. This detailed notification will be released on the official website of POWERGRID, carrying the interview date from 10th January 2023 (Tentative).

• The application window for POWERGRID or PGCIL recruitment through GATE 2023 shall be open from 16th January 2023 to 18th February 2023 (Tentative). 
• Candidates must register online at the official website with their GATE 2023 registration number details and other required information.
• These details will be made available in the ‘CAREER’ section website.

PGCIL Executive Trainee Salary and Job profile

The Corporation provides a very attractive compensation package that is among the best in the industry. During the one-year training period, selected candidates will be paid Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000/-. After completing training, the candidates will be hired as Assistant Managers on the same salary scale.
