AFCAT EC Latest Updates

AFCAT 2018 registrations are open now. AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) is a recruitment examination organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The examination is held twice a year in the months of February and August, applications to which are made available in December and June respectively.

AFCAT EC Notification

AFCAT 2018 Examination can be taken by both Male and Female Candidates who have completed their Graduation. AFCAT is officer recruitment gateway in 3 branches of Air Force – Flying Branch (Short Service Commission only), Technical branch (Permanent & Short Service Commission) and Ground Duty Branch (Permanent & Short Service Commission).

Educational Qualification

Flying Branch

Minimum 20 years, Maximum 24 years.

Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.

2. Graduates (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks or equivalent OR BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognized university or equivalent.

Ground Duty Branches (Non-Technical)

Minimum 20 years, Maximum 26 years.

Graduate Degree (Minimum three-year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with 60% marks.

Ground Duty Branches (Technical)

Minimum 20 years, Maximum 26 years.

Candidates with minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four-year degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University.

AFCAT EC Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The AFCAT exam consists of 100 questions where each question will be of 3 marks and 1 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. You can go through the detailed syllabus of AFCAT & EKT EC Syllabus and exam pattern.
