Quantitative Aptitude For Bank Exams
Every year, the State Bank of India and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conduct various recruitment examinations, among which SBI PO & IBPS PO are considered the most coveted among banking aspirants across the country. The syllabus of the SBI PO & IBPS PO exams is mostly similar to the other banking exams. These exams are three-tier exams:
- Preliminary Exam – Online Written Test
- Main Exam – Online Written Test
- Group Discussion & Personal Interview
Note: The Third tier of the SBI PO exam consists of both Group Discussion & Personal Interview while IBPS PO only conducts Interviews.
Quantitative Aptitude Exam Pattern for SBI PO and IBPS PO
Before Aspirants go through the syllabus of quantitative aptitude, they should understand the pattern of the section. Quantitative aptitude is part of both the Preliminary and Main exams of SBI PO & IBPS PO. The pattern of the SBI PO Quantitative Aptitude Section is given below in brief:

The SBI PO quantitative aptitude syllabus and IBPS PO syllabus can be divided into three parts, i.e.

Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus For Arithmetic

Preliminary: This is the exam of speed, and most of the questions asked at this level of the examination are tend to range between easy to moderate. Questions asked are generally easy to solve and formula-based, and not much calculation is involved.
Mains: At this tier, the questions become difficult to challenging, as this is the examination of your capacity. A firm grasp and clarity of arithmetic concepts and good calculation speed are essential to ace the main exam.
