According to the IBPS Clerk selection procedure new guidelines, have a look at the latest process -

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam

* There is no interview for the post of clerical cadre.

IBPS Clerk Selection Process - Preliminary Exam Phase

  • Prelims Exam of IBPS Clerk is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in the Prelims exam will not be added for the final selection of candidates.
  • Exam pattern of IBPS Clerk Prelims has been changed this year. In the Prelims Exam, the sectional timing of 20 minutes in each section has been introduced.
  • The pattern followed for the selection procedure of IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam is mentioned below -

  • Candidates need to complete each section within the above mentioned time frame to qualify the selection procedure.
  • Candidates need to clear sectional as well as the overall cutoff to be eligible for the next phase i.e. Mains examination.

IBPS Clerk Selection Process - Mains Exam Phase

  • Marks of IBPS Clerk mains exam will be counted in the final selection procedure. So prepare for this section very smartly to crack IBPS clerk.

  • All the above-mentioned tests will be available in Hindi as well as English, except for the English Language Test.
  • There will be a penalty of 1/4 marks for every incorrect answer. Also, candidates need to clear the Sectional as well as the Overall cut off in order to crack IBPS exam.
  • For Provisional Allotment under IBPS Clerk selection procedure, total marks out of 200 will be converted out of 100.

IBPS Clerk Selection Process 2021: Language Proficiency Test

  • The candidates need to fulfill the criteria as prescribed by the participating organizations for provisional allotment.
  • Candidates will undergo Language Proficiency Test, where the participating organizations will verify the proficiency of candidates in the local language of the concerned state or union territory, i.e. the candidates should be able to read, write as well as speak the concerned local language.
  • Under this test, the candidates may be asked to write down a passage or asked a few questions in the local language.
  • Participating organizations of IBPS Clerk can also cancel the candidature of the candidates who fail to qualify LPT.
