GATE 2022 Papers and Syllabus

In this section of the GATE Official GATE website, you will find details of all the 29 papers that are there in the examination. The downloadable GATE syllabus will also be provided in the same window. You can download the syllabus and plan your preparation strategy accordingly.

This section of the website will take you to a screen where you can download the information brochure of that particular GATE exam, Poster, and newspaper advertisement as well. These pieces of information are important for students for the queries related to the examination. 

Old Question Papers

This section is specially designed to provide the GATE previous year’s question papers so that students can download and go through them. This will help candidates to prepare well for the exam. Old question papers are proven to be really helpful in understanding the pattern of the examination. You can download the previous year’s papers ranging from 2007 to the latest year.

Exam Cities

Here the details about the cities where the GATE exam will be conducted are given. There will be a total of 8 zones in which the GATE exam is conducted. Students/candidates can select three exam conducting cities from one zone only. The zones are :

1. Zone 1 -IISc Bangalore. This zone carries 30 cities in which the exam is conducted.
2. Zone 2- IIT Bombay. This zone carries 30 cities in which the exam is conducted.
3. Zone 3- IIT Delhi. This zone carries 19 cities in which the exam is conducted.
4. Zone 4- IIT Guwahati. This zone carries 21 cities in which the exam is conducted.
5. Zone 5- IIT Kanpur. This zone carries 14 cities in which the exam is conducted.
6. Zone 6- IIT Kharagpur. This zone carries 26 cities in which the exam is conducted.
7. Zone 7- IIT Madras. This zone carries 41 cities in which the exam is conducted.
8. Zone 8- IIT Roorkee. This zone carries 21 cities in which the exam is conducted.

Registrations

The registration corner of the website will carry details related to the registration for the GATE exam. This window will give the following details:

• Eligibility Criteria: Here you will find the details regarding the eligibility criteria for the GATE exam. Students falling under the given criteria are eligible for the GATE exam.
• Documents for the application: This will cover and guide you with the documents required for the application process of the GATE exam.
• Application Fees: This will guide you with the application fees one shall submit for the GATE exam depending upon the category they belong to.

Candidate Login Window
