UBI Full Form: A large number of candidates question what is the full form of UBI while preparing for banking examinations. The UBI full form is United Bank of India. In August 2019, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that PNB, Oriental Bank, and United Bank would merge to form India’s second-largest public sector bank, with a business of Rs 17.95 lakh billion (1.5 times that of PNB).
The amalgamation of the three institutions came into effect on April 1, 2020. The merger resulted in the country’s second-largest nationalised ban in business and branch networks. The synergy established by the merger resulted in PNB 2.0, an internationally competitive next-generation bank. With over 11,000 branches, over 13,000 ATMs, one lakh employees, and a business mix of over Rs 18 lakh crore, the merged bank now has a greater geographical reach. They are better able to service their clients since they have a larger geographical footprint.

Headquarters of UBI
On July 19, 1969, the United Bank of India was established under the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970. It was a government-owned Indian bank with its headquarters in Kolkata, India.
Products And Functions of UBI
Because it offers various banking goods, such as mini statements, balance inquiries, net banking, and customer service, the bank’s operations are broad.
