Being a rural bank, it is owned by the ministry of finance with all its branches located in different cities of West Bengal and its head office in Howrah, West Bengal. Paschim Banga Gramin Bank (PBGB) is sponsored by UCO Bank, which with the government of India is the shareholder of the bank.
Till now, the bank has made a profit of more than 6.5 crore rupees. The bank has more than 200 branches all over the state of West Bengal within five districts of Howrah, Hooghly, Purba Bardhaman, Paschim Bardhaman, and Birbhum.
