SBI CBO eligibility is an important aspect of participating in the recruitment process. The eligibility norms have been clearly stated in the official notification PDF. All candidates with at least 2 years of experience in a scheduled commercial bank or any regional rural bank are eligible to apply for the post.

SBI CBO Age Limit (As of 30/09/22)
As per the notification, the SBI CBO age limit is 30 years. The SBI CBO age limit will be calculated as 30.09.2022, i.e. candidates must have been born between 30.09.2001 and 01.10.1992 and must be between the ages of 21 and 30 as of 30.09.2022. (both days inclusive); whereas there is age relaxation for a few reservation categories.

SBI Circle Officer Age Relaxation
SBI CBO age relaxation for various categories is mentioned below. SBI CBO age limit for SC is 35 years, and the age limit for OBC is 33 years.

SBI CBO Qualification
SBI CBO educational qualification requires an applicant to be a graduate of any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the central government. The educational qualification percentage for SBI Circle Officer is accepted as the total sum aggregate of all the subjects divided by the aggregate maximum marks of all the subjects. Applicants must thoroughly check the SBI CBO educational criteria before applying for the examination.
- There is an additional eligibility criterion regarding the local language. Candidates applying for vacancies in a State will have to produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate as evidence of having studied the specific local language of the applied State as one of the subjects.
SBI CBO Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of work experience (Post Essential Academic Qualification Experience) as of 30.09.22 is required to participate in SBI CBO recruitment 2022-23. A candidate must hold work experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank as listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.
Local Langauge
Candidates applying for the SBI CBO vacancy of a particular State should be proficient with reading, writing, and understanding skills in the specified opted local language of that State (mentioned against each State). The test of knowledge of the specified opted local language of the applied state will be conducted as a part of the selection process. It will be conducted for provisionally selected candidates (based on performance in Online written test, Screening, and Interview) before joining the Bank. The candidate who fails to qualify local language test will be disqualified and not be entertained further.
- Candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language of the applied state as one of the subjects will not be required to undergo the language test.
