ADCB full form is Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC. In 1985, Emirates Commercial Bank, Federal Commercial Bank, and Khaleej Commercial Bank merged to establish ADCB. Knowing the full form of ABCD and other banks will be advantageous to those undertaking banking examinations.

Segments of ADCB
The three segments in which the bank operates are wholesale banking, property management, and investment and treasury.
- Wholesale Banking: Business banking, cash management, trade finance, corporate finance, small and medium firm financing, investment banking, Islamic financing, infrastructure, asset finance, and government and public companies are all part of the wholesale banking market.
- Property Management: The property management segment includes the group’s real estate management, engineering service businesses, and rental income from its buildings.
- Investment and Treasury: Central treasury operations, management of the group’s investment portfolio and interest rate, currency, commodities derivatives portfolio, and Islamic financing are part of investment and treasury.

- In January 2019, ADCB, Union National Bank (UNB), and Al Hilal Bank accounted for a three-bank merger.
- Although Al Hilal Bank operates as an independent Islamic bank under the new brand name, the combined bank operates as ADCB.
