Employees working as Administrative Officers (Generalists) must sign a bond and promise to serve for the company for a minimum of four years (including a one-year probationary period), after which the responsibilities of the AO expand in tandem with the NIACL AO Salary.

Seniority or departmental exams are used to determine promotion. The promotion of LIC AAO is generally gradual. From the time you join, it takes 4 to 8 years to get promoted. Following promotions from AAO, promoted AAOs are assigned to the following positions:
