The following eligibility requirements must be met in order to be considered for HPGCL Recruitment through GATE 2022.

Full-time B.E./B.Tech with a minimum of 60% for general/other category applicants and 55% for SC category candidates having Haryana domicile.

Selection Procedure for HPGCL AE

For Assistant Engineer posts, an initial screening based on GATE 2022 score will be used in a 1:3 ratio.
Then, in order to choose candidates for HPGCL AE recruitment, document verification will take place and marks will be given based on Socio-economic criteria and Experience.

Socio-economic criteria and Experience (20 marks)

The following are the marks for experience and certain objective socioeconomic criteria:-

Criteria	Marks
If neither the applicant nor any member of his or her family (father, mother, spouse, brother, or son) is, was, or has ever been a regular employee of the Government of Haryana or any other State Government or the Government of India.	10 marks
If the applicant is a widow; or a first or second child whose father died before the applicant reached the age of 42; or a first or second kid whose father died before the applicant reached the age of 15.	10 marks
If the candidate belongs to a denotified tribe (Vimukt Jatis and Tapriwas Jatis) or a Haryana Nomadic tribe that is neither a Scheduled Caste nor a Backward Class,	10 marks
Experience: One mark for each year or part of a year of experience surpassing six months on the same or a higher post in any Department/ Board/ Corporation/Company/ Statutory Body/ Commission/Authority of the Government of Haryana, up to a maximum of sixteen years. There will be no marks awarded for any time of less than six months.	Maximum of 16 marks

Note: Under no circumstances will a candidate receive more than 20 points for socioeconomic factors and experience.
