The ESIC UDC full form is Employees' State Insurance Corporation Upper Divisional Clerk. The ESIC UDC recruitment 2023 is conducted on a yearly basis. ESIC is a government-run health and social security insurance programme for Indian workers. According to the guidelines outlined in the ESI Act of 1948, the fund is managed by ESIC.
History of ESIC
ESIC is a statutory body where funds are managed by the ESI corporation under the rules and regulations stipulated in ESI Act, 1948. It is an integrated system tailored to provide protection to workers, dependents, organized sector, in contingencies like sickness, occupational hazards, disability, maternity, death, etc.
ESIC schemes are mainly financed by the employees covered under any of the schemes provided by ESI and their employers, as a fixed percentage of wages.
What is ESIC Act?
ESIC is an autonomous body corporation under the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India. Being a legal entity it can raise loans and even can take measures to discharge such loans with the prior sanction of the central government.
It can acquire movable and immovable property, both. This corporation can independently set up hospitals or in collaboration with state government and private entities but most of them are run by the state government.

The ESI Act provides various benefits to its customers. The Section 46 of the Act envisages the following six social security benefits:-

ESIC UDC Salary
According to the ESIC UDC Salary, the starting base wage is Rs. 25,000/-, which can be enhanced to Rs. 81,000 following many promotions over the ESIC service tenure. The promotional hierarchy of ESIC UDC is Upper Division Clerk, Assistant, and Social Security Assistant. The salary is determined by the 7th Pay Commission.
