Generally, the validity of the CSIR JRF certificate is 2 years, but recently CSIR has extended the validity period for 2017 and 2018 qualified candidates due to the difficulty in PhD admission processes.

How many attempts are there for CSIR JRF NET?

There is no limit in the number of attempts for CSIR NET JRF. However, there is a limit in the age limit, i.e. 28 years for General; you can not apply for the JRF exam if you are above 28 years for the General category. The age limit for different categories has been provided below, General – 28 Years SC/ST/PwD/Female – 5 Years relaxation in upper age limit. OBC – 3 Years relaxation in upper age limit In the case of lecturership, there is no specific age limit; you can apply any time for the Lecturership (LS).

What is the salary of CSIR JRF?

The salary structure for CSIR JRF candidates is as follows: Junior Research Fellow – Rs. 31,000/- for 2 years. Senior Research Fellow – Rs. 35,000/- for next 3 years. Contingency – 20,000/- p.a.

Considering there have been delays and difficulties faced by qualified candidates in the registration processes of PhD degrees, travel and physical movement restrictions, many institutes are yet to function full-fledged due to pandemic in the country. The CSIR NET Certificate validity varies for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Lectureship. The CSIR Lectureship certificates are valid for a lifetime, while in the case of CSIR JRF, candidates should remember that they can use their CSIR JRF fellowship certificates for only two years. CSIR NET Certificate Process for Part I

Step 1: Open the browser and enter the correct official website of CSIR i.e. https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/

Step 2: Navigate directly to the login page.

Step 3: Enter all the information asked & press the “Submit” button.

Step 4: After successful login, the CSIR certificate will be shown on your computer screen.

Step 5: Save it, download it, and print a hard copy for the future reference.

CSIR NET Certificate Process for Part II & III

Step 1: Open the browser and enter the official website of UGC i.e. https://www.ugc.ac.in/

Step 2: Move your cursor and navigate to “Click to download the e-certificate of CSIR-UGC Test from December 2016 onwards”

Step 3: Candidates can either select the option as “Yes” or “No”.

Step 4: Select “Yes” – if you already have your credentials like password via OTP after September 1, 2017, or while filling the CSIR NET application form.

Step 5: Select “No” – if you do not have not your password via OTP and let the password be generated.

Step 6: Once all the essential details are entered correctly, download the CSIR NET JRF certificate by clicking on the “Login” button.
