The CSIR-HRDG released the guidelines on 18 April 2022, to download the CSIR NET Certificate. Candidates are requested to send the self-attested photocopies of the following documents through email only. Students who passed the CSIR NET exam in June 2021 received a certificate from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) as a verification of their qualifications and expertise in that field.

Certificate Validity of CSIR NET

The validity of the CSIR NET certificate varies depending on whether you are applying for a Junior Research Fellowship or a Lectureship. The validity period is outlined below:

  • Candidates who are selected for the CSIR NET JRF have just two years from the date of issue to use their certificate.
  • The certificate will be valid for the candidate's entire life if he or she is selected for the CSIR NET Lectureship.

Documents To Be Submitted Before Downloading the Certificate

Candidates must provide some relevant documents to the Council Of Scientific & Industrial Research's official address before downloading the CSIR certificate. The required certificate will be granted only after these documents have been properly verified. These documents are included in the list:

  • CSIR NET Admit Card.
  • Mark sheet for the CSIR NET exam.
  • Proof of DOB (date of birth) (10th class certificate).
  • Final mark sheet with requisite percent of marks for M.sc or Integrated BS-MS, B.E/B.Tech, B.Pharma, MBBS, or an equivalent degree.
  • Marks percentage of qualifying degree from respective university/institution via CGPA. (Cumulative Grade Point Average)
  • Marks bifurcation is required in the case of a dual degree.
  • For candidates who are physically challenged or visually impaired, a certificate of physical disability is required (If Applicable).
  • Proof for EWS category.
  • If applicable, a caste certificate.
  • Certificates of income and assets issued by the competent authority.

Note: The candidate must superscribe the envelope with "Documents for June/December (JRF/LS-Part-I-Result) NET Exam & Roll No" before sending the documents.

Important Instruction Before Sending the Documents

Before sending the documents, candidates must carefully follow some important instructions. To avoid complications throughout the documentation process, read all of the instructions carefully. The CSIR has issued the following instructions:

  • Before sending, any certifications written in a language other than Hindi or English must be translated into Hindi or English. Self-attestation is required for original certificates. 
  • On the official website, OBC candidates must submit their OBC certificate in the format indicated.
  • Candidates who are in their last year of MSc and are still waiting for their results, or who are in the Result awaited category, can only file paperwork once their qualification is completed.
  • On working days, the official time to pick up the award letter in person is from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Candidates must bring the above-mentioned self-attested documents (Should not be sent by post or mail).

Steps to Download the CSIR NET Certificate

There are three parts to the CSIR certificate. You can download the same from the official websites. Both the CSIR and the UGC publish it independently. Let's have a look at how to get the certifications step by step.

CSIR NET Certificate (Part 1)

The steps to download the CSIR NET Certificate (Part 1) is as follows:

  • Step 1: Go to the official website of CSIR NET and use your Roll Number and Date of Birth to log in.
  • Step 2: Fill in the relevant information, select the exam and click the "Continue" button.
  • Step 3: You will be able to download the CSIR NET Certificate after successfully logging in.
  • Step 4: Print and save the CSIR NET Certificate for future use.

CSIR NET Certificate (Part 2 & Part 3)

The steps to download the CSIR NET Certificate (Part 2 & Part 3) is as follows:

  • Step 1: Go to the official website of UGC.
  • Step 2: Look for the link "Click to download the CSIR-UGC Exam e-certificate."
  • Step 3: "Yes" or "No" are the options for candidates.
  • Step 4: If you already have your password from an OTP or while filling out the CSIR NET application form, select "Yes."
  • Step 5: If you haven't received your password via OTP, select "No" and let the password be generated.
  • Step 6: After you've supplied all of the necessary information, click the "Login" button to get the CSIR NET certificate.

Steps To Be Followed When CSIR NET Certificate is Not Received

It's possible that candidates will have questions about the certificate's issue, or that they will simply not receive the letter after completing the steps above. In such circumstances, candidates should send a request letter to the official email id shown below, including their roll number, the slot in which they took the examination, and their CSIR Reference number.

  • The email address for the certificates is certifcate@csirhrdg.res.in.
  • Applicants residing in the neighborhood are welcome to visit the certification section's headquarters.
  • The letter should be written to the UGC's NET Bureau Head.

Note: If you forgot to send any documents with the certificate request letter, you can include those as well.

Instructions to Issue Duplicate CSIR NET Certificate

Candidates will be pleased to hear that they can request a reissue of their certificate if they have misplaced their original or have not received it for some reason. To obtain a duplicate certificate from the UGC, you must complete a detailed set of requirements.

  • Make sure that all of the candidate's information is entered in an affidavit on judicial stamp paper, including the applicant's name, father's name, mother's name, exam date, roll number, exam subject, candidate's address, and so on. It must be attested by a competent authority and provided by the UGC.
  • Candidates must state in their statement that if they find the genuine CSIR NET certificate, they will return the duplicate copy without misusing it.
  • A demand draft of the amount of INR 100/- should be drawn in favor of the Secretary, University Grants Commission, New Delhi, and paid at the State Bank Of India, Service Branch (Code No. 7687). It should be accompanied by the affidavit.
  • Finally, an attested copy of this FIR recorded at the Police Station should include an FIR with the attestation stamp of a Class-I gazetted officer and the candidate's data (name, designation, official address, etc.).
