We know that AC

irms = 0.2 – Vrms/z = 12/z

Or

z = 12/0.2 = 60 ohm

For DC

i = 0.4 = V/R = 12/R

So we get

R = 12/0.4 = 120/4 = 30 ohm

As there is current in a steady state of the DC circuit, there is no capacitor

z > R

So the second component other than the resistor is the inductor.

The circuit will be series LR.

Therefore, the circuit is series LR.
