BPSC Geography Syllabus

BPSC Syllabus for Prelims includes Geography as a major section. Geography is also a part of the BPSC Mains exam under GS Paper 2. Candidates who have Geography as their optional subject must also go through the BPSC geography optional syllabus.

  • भूगोल में भारत और बिहार के भूगोल पर फोकस रहेगा। भारत और बिहार के भूगोल पर प्रश्न भारतीय कृषि और प्राकृतिक संसाधनों की प्राथमिक विशेषताओं सहित देश के भौतिक, सामाजिक और आर्थिक भूगोल से संबंधित होंगे।

For Mains:

  • भारत का भूगोल: भौतिक पहलू, मानवीय पहलू, संसाधन, कृषि, उद्योग, परिवहन और व्यापार, बस्तियाँ, क्षेत्रीय विकास तथा आयोजन
  • बिहार के भूगोल के अन्तर्गत, प्राकृतिक विभाग, मिट्टियाँ, वन, जलवायु, कृषि का प्रतिरूप, सूखा और बाढ़ग्रस्त क्षेत्रों की समस्याएँ और समाधान, प्रमुख खनिज संसाधन- लोहा, ताम्बा, बाक्साइट, अबरख और कोयला, प्रमुख उद्योग- लोहा-इस्पात, एल्युमुनियम, सीमेन्ट, चीनी, प्रमुख औद्योगिक प्रदेश, बिहार की जनंसख्या की समस्या, जन-जातियों की समस्याएँ और उनका समाधान, बिहार में नगरीकरण का प्रतिरूप।
