Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) notifies about the BPSC eligibility criteria in its official notification. Upper Age Limit for BPSC

BPSC Age Limit Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen

Ex-servicemen under the age of 53 to 55 can avail of BPSC age relaxation of three years plus the number of years in service.

(a) There is a 3 Years of Age relaxation for the Ex-Serviceman (Permanent Commission).
(b) There is a 5 Years of Age relaxation for the Ex-Serviceman (Short Service Commission, etc.).

  • There is a relaxation of 5 Years of Age for govt employees.
  • There is a relaxation of 10 Years of Age for Divyang People.

BPSC Attempt Limit

BPSC has not restricted the number of attempts to appear for the BPSC exam. A candidate can appear as long as he/she falls below the upper age limit. Thus, the BPSC aspirants should ensure they fulfil the BPSC age limit.

Yes, final-year students can apply for the BPSC exam 2023. However, such candidates will have to ensure that they have qualified for the exam as of the last date of the BPSC application form.

Candidates applying for the BPSC 2023 exam should ensure that they fulfil every eligibility criteria so that their application forms are not rejected. Here are some noteworthy points related to the BPSC exam.

  • Candidates applying for the BPSC exam under reservation will only be allowed to do so if they hold Bihar state domicile.
  • OBC certificate will apply only to candidates who fall in the non-creamy layer. OBC-NCL certificates will be valid.
  • The minimum age shall be 20 years.
  • The upper age limit for PwD candidates is up to 10 years.
  • Aspirants must have passed or acquired their graduation, as on the BPSC application form.
