Why Steel is more elastic than Rubber?

Young’s modulus for steel is more than that for rubber hence steel is more elastic than rubber. Young’s modulus is the ratio between stress and strain. The slope of the linear part of the stress-strain curve for material under tension or compression is represented by Young’s modulus.
