SBI conducts the SBI PO exam for the post of probationary officer every year. This is the largest and oldest recruitment body and financial institution in India. SBI PO is considered the most prestigious job among the bank exams.

SBI PO selection procedure

  • SBI PO Prelims exam (First phase)
  • SBI PO Mains Exam (Second phase)
  • Group exercise and Interview (Final round)

SBI PO Prelims and Mains both are objective exams. Three sections are common in prelims and mains exams but the difference lies in the difficulty level. The mains exam is comparatively much higher in the SBI PO exam.

Job profile: It involves customer handling and a general banking role.

SBI Clerk

Every year, the exam is being conducted to recruit professional staff for the junior associate post. Vacancies released for this post are generally high as compared to SBI PO 

SBI Clerk exam is conducted in two-phase.

  • SBI Clerk prelims exam
  • SBI Clerk mains exam

There is no interview for this exam. Students who apply from a different state will have to undergo an LPT test in which their proficiency in the regional language will be tested, This will be qualifying in nature.

Previous year more than 5500 vacancies were released. You can expect the SBI Clerk notification 2022 by April/May 2022 with around 6000 vacancies.

Job profile: In involves data entry operator work and direct dealing with the customers.


IBPS is responsible for conducting major exams like IBPS PO in India. Every year it recruits a number of different staff to be posted at different places.

IBPS PO selection procedure consists of three phases

  • IBPS PO Prelims exam
  • IBPS PO Mains exam
  • Interview

Both the exam, prelims and mains consist of objective-type questions but there is a high difference in the difficulty level of both phases.

Job profile: It involves work related to general banking, supervising clerical work, and administration of the bank. He is also responsible for increasing business for the bank.

IBPS released its exam calendar for the exam to be recruited in a particular year. This year also IBPS has released IBPS Calendar 2022-2023.

IBPS Clerk

Every year, IBPS conducts exams to recruit prominent clerical staff across India. There are a number of branches of the participating organization, and according to their needs vacancies are released.

Selection Procedure.

This exam is conducted in two-phase.

  • IBPS Clerk Prelims exam
  • IBPS Clerk Mains exam

IBPS Clerk exam is also free from the interview round but students applying from a different state have to appear for the LPT round. In which proficiency in Writing, Reading, and Speaking of regional language will be tested.

Job profile: Direct dealing of cash with the customer and data entry.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale- 1

IBPS also recruits eligible staff for regional rural banks in a different state. Every year IBPS RRB exam is conducted to place prominent staff in different branches of the participating banks.

There are only two subjects in the prelims exam i.e reasoning and quant and students have the choice to choose between Hindi/English language in the mains exam according to their preference.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant

IBPS also recruits eligible staff for regional rural banks in a different state. Every year an exam is conducted to place prominent staff at the clerical position in different branches of the participating banks.

  • IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims exam
  • IBPS RRB Clerk mains exam.

There is no interview for this exam. Students just have to clear the objective test in prelims and mains exam as well.

Job profile: The job profile of an IBPS RRB Office Assistant involves a low-level management role at the clerical level and is responsible for handling and distributing cash.

RBI Grade B officer

Reserve bank of India also conducts the exam every year to recruit Grade B officers for its offices. The offices of RBI are located in cities only. RBI Grade B is considered a high-profile Job and at the same time, it is a difficult task to crack this exam.

  • RBI Grade B Prelims Examination (General Awareness+English Language+Quantitative Aptitude+Reasoning Ability)

  •  Personal Interview (General Awareness and Interpersonal Skills)

Job Profile: It is the entry-level post at the managerial level in RBI 

RBI Assistant

RBI also conducts RBI Assistant exams for clerical level or Assistant level posts who are responsible for carrying out the day-to-day work in the office. There is no customer handling in this profile.

  • RBI Assistant Prelims exam
  • RBI Assistant Mains exam

There is no interview for this post. But students will have to take the LPT test in which their proficiency in regional language will be tested. This test is qualifying in nature.

Job profile: The job profile is to deal with a data entry job and is more of an operational role in RBI.


Every year the National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) conducts an examination to recruit eligible staff for NABARD Grade-A officer and NABARD Grade B officer.

Job Profile: 

Post of Grade A is a managerial post while of Grade B an Assistant manager post.
