NIACL Assistant Prelims Exam Analysis 2018 & Review: 8th Sep – Slot 2

Check NIACL Assistant Prelims exam analysis of 2nd shift on 8th September 2018 here. The second shift of NIACL Assistant Prelims Exam has been concluded now. The level of the exam was on similar lines to the exam conducted in first shift. Now we are here with detailed exam analysis to help you understand the type and level of questions asked in this shift as well as the overall level of difficulty.

NIACL Assistant Prelims: Second Shift – Important Observations

Level of the exam – The level of the overall exam was Easy-Moderate. All the questions asked were doable.

Good Attempts – Candidates managed to attempt a good number of questions. 72+ is a good attempt considering the level of the exam.

Surprises & Observations:

There were no surprises in any of the section.
Usual pattern questions were asked.
English and Reasoning Section were of very easy level.
Numerical ability section is of moderate level. In Numerical Ability, Quantity based questions tricked the candidates a little.

1. Puzzles and Seating Arrangement

10	Moderate	2 sets of puzzle and seating arrangement were asked, which are mentioned as below – Linear Seating arrangement question in which some persons were facing North and some were facing south direction.Candidates needed to arranged 10 persons in a proper order as per the question. Square based seating arrangement with 8 person. 4 persons were sitting on corner and 4 on middle of the square.

2. Inequality

3. Syllogism

Numerical Ability Section Review: NIACL Assistant Prelims

1. Number Series

The questions were based on difference series, multiplication series and power multiplication, square and cube pattern Questions were not very time-consuming. 2. Data Interpretation

5	Moderate	Tabular Chart based DI was asked. It was easy and all the questions were doable. The question was based on different organizations.

3. Simplification/ Approximation

10	Easy	5 simplification and 5 approximation questions were asked. Simple and basic concepts related questions were asked in it, which were based on BODMAS rule. The level of the questions was easy.

4. Miscellaneous questions/Arithmetic questions

6	Moderate	Questions were of easy to moderate level. Attempt them in atlast. The topics asked were average , ration and proportion , age based , profit and loss , percentage , time and work , boat and stream etc.

5. Quantity Based Questions

5	Moderate	Questions were of moderate level. 2-3 questions were from quadratic equation in this topic.

NIACL Assistant Prelims Exam: English Langauge Section Analysis

1. Reading Comprehension

6	Easy	Story Based Reading Comprehension was asked. The stoy was based on a thief and the innkeeper passage. Two questions were based on vocabulary (Most Similar word and Most Opposite Word) Questions were easily doable.

2. Error Spotting

8	Moderate	Usual pattern of error spotting was asked. A sentence divided into 5 parts was given. There was an error in one of the parts or No error.

3. Parajumble

5	Easy	Sentences in unarranged order were given. Candidates were required to arrange all the sentences in a proper order to form a meaningful paragraph.

4. Fillers

5	Easy	Questions were easily doable A sentence with one blank in it was given. 5 options were provided. Candidates have to select an option which completes the sentence in a meaningful way.

5. Cloze Test

6	Easy	Story based cloze test was asked. In this a passage with blanks was given. Students were required to fill the blanks meaningfully from selecting the appropriate option.
