SSC JE Paper 2 Pattern and Marking Scheme

Candidates obtaining the SSC JE cut off marks in Paper 1 as per their category will be appearing for SSC JE Paper 2. As per SSC JE exam pattern for Paper 2, it will be a CBT.

  • Only one paper will be there in SSC JE paper 2 having questions from the relevant engineering discipline.
  • Paper 2 will have questions that you will have to answer in online mode.
  • The paper will have questions only from the core engineering branch opted by you.
  • Further, the duration of the exam will be 2 hours and the SSC JE total marks for it are 300.

  • SSC JE exam pattern comprises of two papers, paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 is objective in nature consisting of GK, Reasoning, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical papers. On the other hand, SSC JE Paper 1 shall be descriptive in nature consisting of only Civil/Electrical/Mechanical papers.

  • Yes, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark in SSC JE.

  • The SSC JE Exam has the following two papers:

    • Paper 1: Computer-based written test (CBT)
    • Paper 2: Written/Descriptive Paper
