• There is no sectional cut off for SSC JE exam for paper 1 and paper 2. 
• There is only an overall cut off for SSC Junior Engineer exam. 
• In case, the SSC JE exam is conducted in multiple shifts, then the normalization process will be used. 
• SSC JE Paper 1 cut off is out of 200 marks. 
• SSC JE paper 2 is for 300 marks. 
• Thus, the final cut off is calculated by adding the marks obtained by you in SSC JE paper 1 and paper 2 combined, i.e. 500 marks.

Factors Determining SSC JE Cut Off

SSC JE cut off is determined by a number of factors that influence candidate selection. It is important to note that the SSC Junior Engineer cut off for Paper 1 and Paper 1+2 has been released (combined).

• The total number of candidates who took the exam. 
• When calculating the cut off marks for SSC JE, the candidates’ category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD/Ex-Servicemen) is taken into account.
• Total number of SSC JE Vacancy. 
• The difficulty level of the exam.
•  SSC will implement mark normalisation if the SSC JE exam is held in multiple shifts.
