Rafael Nadal defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev 2-6, 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4, 7-5 in the Australian Open men's singles final.

Rafael Nadal wins his 9th Australian Open title and 21st Grand Slam crown overall.

Australian Ashleigh Barty (25-years) has won the Australian Open 2022. She defeated Danielle Collins 6-3 7-6(2) and pick up her third Grand Slam title.
