The GATE exam consists of 65 questions with a total of 100 marks. The time duration of the exam is 3 hours. The marking scheme for GATE is as follows:

  • For MCQs, there are 1 or 2 marks assigned to each question, and there is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
  • For NAT questions, there are 1 or 2 marks assigned to each question, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
