Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG)
- Liquified petroleum gas is the result of the conversion of petroleum gas into a liquid.
- LPG mostly consists of butane, with minor amounts of ethane and propane. The main component of LPG is butane.
- Cylinders are used to hold LPG. It is also known as cooking gas since it is mostly used for cooking, and the cylinders that hold it are known as cooking gas cylinders.
- LPG turns into a vapour when a valve built into the cylinder is opened with the aid of a regulator, which results from a drop in pressure.
- Through a rubber tubing connected to the regulator, this vapour travels to the burners.
