Union Public Service Commission has released the NDA 2 notification on the official website. Along with the notification, the NDA 2022 apply online link was available from 18th May 2022 to 07 June 2022. NDA Exam 2022 is scheduled to be conducted on 04 September 2022. Candidates who have successfully applied for NDA 2 Exam 2022 will be able to download the NDA admit card 2022 after the release. 

Recently, UPSC has released the NDA 2 Result 2021 on the official website along with the NDA 2021 merit list with marks. NDA is a national-level entrance examination conducted by UPSC for candidates who want to join defence services. NDA Eligibility Criteria

NDA eligibility criteria are prescribed by the UPSC on their official website in NDA exam notification PDF. Candidates applying for the NDA exam 2022  should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility norms for admission to the NDA examination. The candidates must fit the prescribed eligibility criteria to be able to advance further in the selection process. 

The admission of the candidates at all the stages of the examination will purely be based on the provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed NDA eligibility conditions. Candidates failing to fulfill the norms will not be allowed to participate in the recruitment process.

The NDA eligibility criteria are split into three different stages which are age limit criteria, educational qualification, and physical standards. Below you can go through the detailed eligibility norms of the NDA 2022 exam as prescribed by the concerned authorities.

NDA Age Limit 2022

The aspirants must fit the prescribed NDA eligibility criteria to be able to take the exam and grab the desired post. The age limit criteria for the NDA exam for different courses is between 16.5-19.5 years. Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July 2003 and not later than 1st July 2006 are eligible to apply online for NDA 1 2022 exam.

NDA Educational Qualification

A. Details of MSP (Military Service Pay)

  • Officers in the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier are also entitled to a Military Service Pay(MSP) of ₹ 15.500 p.m. (fixed).

  • The Army Aviators (Pilots) serving in the Army Aviation Corps are entitled to flying allowance at ₹ 25,000/- p.m. 

NDA 2022 Selection Process

UPSC conducts the NDA exam in two stages which are a written test and SSB Interview. The first stage is the written exam, the candidates must perform well in the written exam to be able to proceed further with the selection process. Candidates who clear this stage will be called for SSB Interview. Check out the NDA selection process and its stages which are discussed below: 

  • Pen & Paper Test (written exam)

The NDA written exam is the first stage of selection and is conducted in an offline mode. The candidates obtaining the minimum qualifying marks will then be eligible to appear in the next round of selection.

  • SSB Interview

This is the second stage of the selection process. The SSB Interview tests are conducted for the Intelligence and Personality Test of the candidate. The SSB Interview is also held at 2 stages where 1st round is taken by the Centres/Air Force Selection Boards/Naval Selection Boards. Candidates cracking the 1st round only are eligible to appear in the 2nd interview round.

  • Medical Examination

This stage is of qualifying in nature. Candidates who want to be a part of Indian forces should be medically fit and must qualify for this stage of the selection.

  • Final Merit List

The final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks scored in the written exam and SSB Interview. The final allocation will be done based on the availability of vacancies, fulfilling eligibility criteria, medical fitness, and merit-cum-preferences.
