The hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, iron reaction, and magnesium reactions are the three instances of acid reactions with metal.
Hydrogen gas and salt are created when metals and acids combine.
For the generic word equation of this reaction:
metal + acid → hydrogen + salt
In a displacement reaction, in a compound one element pushes out another. Acid hydrogen is replaced by metals, resulting in hydrogen gas.

Examples of acids are hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4). The most active metals are iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), and lead (Pb).
Due to their strong reactivity, active metals can displace hydrogen ions from acids.
The chemical reactions of Acid metal examples are provided below:
Magnesium + hydrochloric acid ⟶ magnesium chloride + hydrogen gas
Mg + 2 HCl → MgCl2 + H2
Magnesium + sulphuric acid → magnesium sulphate + hydrogen
Mg + H2SO4 → MgSO4 + H2
Iron + sulfuric acid → iron sulfate + hydrogen
Fe + H2SO4 → FeSO4 + H2
