The journey of IBPS began in 1975 as a self-governing agency in India, just after the banks got nationalized. Later, with the RBI’s command, it was transformed into an independent entity called the Institute of personnel banking selection.


#Fact 1: Announcement of CWE Exam: In the year 2011, IBPS for the first time announce the common written examination for the government job seekers to provide them with a good career in Public Sector Banks. In 2011 for the first time, various vacancies stating recruitment of Clerk and Officers were announced.

#Fact 2: Total Number of Exams in a Year: As of now, IBPS conducts a list of exams to be conducted in a particular financial year. These IBPS exams are mandatory to clear if you wish to serve in a public sector bank as a clerk or officer. List of these exams is given below:

  5. IBPS RRB Clerk
