The candidates have only 1 day left till the IBPS PO Prelims 2021 exam. We’ve compiled a list of IBPS PO 2021 last-minute Tips for you so that you can reduce the burden from your mind. Many of these pointers may seem obvious, but they are crucial because the IBPS PO Prelims 2021 exam is a speed-based exam.

Now is the time to start reviewing the entire curriculum, as well as essential themes and questions. To avoid making any mistakes, review the exam pattern, cut-off marks, and other relevant exam rules. Follow your revision schedule to complete your memorizing and practice exercises well before the exam date.

Keep Negative Marking in your mind:

The IBPS PO Prelims are required to qualify for the Mains. It is not necessary to answer all of the questions. Candidates should be aware that each incorrect response will result in negative marking or a penalty. To avoid negative marking, candidates should attempt the questions correctly or leave them blank. There will be a negative marking of 1/4th or 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer. However, there will be no negative marking if a question is left blank or not answered.

Say No To New Topic:

The previous months were more than enough to prepare each and every topic for the IBPS PO 2021 Prelims Exam. So, it’s always recommendable to not leave any chapter unturned and even do not start anything new before the day of the actual exam. Instead, stay up with fresh updates by reading GK/current affairs and newspapers. Don’t waste your time and efforts on issues you won’t be able to finish or understand. Make the most of your last-minute opportunity to boost your speed.

What to Avoid During the IBPS PO 2021 Prelims Exam?

Stick to your routine if you’ve been doing practice tests in a specific order. Don’t make any changes. Start with the easier ones to gain confidence. The confidence will give you the push you need to finish the 60 minutes strong. Save the most difficult and time-consuming questions at the end of each section. Start with the easiest ones in each segment to gain confidence.

Good Time Management: Spend no more than 20 minutes on general awareness or computer knowledge in total. You either know or don’t know the answer. Work on the easier ones first before moving on to the more challenging ones in each of the other categories.

Don’t get stuck on any question: set a time limit for yourself, say 90-120 seconds, and if any question takes longer than that, leave it and come back when you have more time. Remember that within a section, each question has the same weighting, so don’t waste time on just one question.

Do not take guesses: Because there is negative marking on questions if you choose to mark an answer without knowing the proper option, be cautious. We do not propose making blind guesses and instead recommend making smart guesses (or predictions after eliminating 2-3 incorrect options).
