  • There was a total of 74 matches in the IPL 2023 tournament.
  • The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 5 wickets to win the title for the 5th time.
  • Winning team, CSK received a cheque of INR 20 crore, while Gujarat Titans were awarded prize money of INR 12.5 crore.
  • IPL 2023 was hosted by India.
  • This season of IPL was played in 12 venues across India – Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati and Dharamshala.
  • Sam Curran was the most expensive player of this season, bought by Punjab Kings for ₹18.5 crore.
