About ICC Awards of the Decade 2020
- ICC Awards of The Decade recognizes best players across Cricket over the past 10 years.
- What’s new? It invited fans to vote for the first time by selecting the winners across categories including Sir Garfield Sobers and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Awards for the best overall player from the men’s and women’s game over the past decade (10 years).
- Fans Voting: More than 1.5 million fans participated casting 5.3 million votes from across the world. Fans provided 100% of the vote for ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade.
- Selection of nominees: Nominees for each of the categories had been determined by the Awards Nominations Committee according to on-field performances and overall achievements for at least five years during the period that included journalists, statisticians, analysts, former cricketers, and broadcasters from all across the globe
