Now we are sharing some important tips for the Quantitative Aptitude preparation for IBPS RRB PO (Officer Scale-I) Exam.

Quantitative aptitude under the IBPS RRB syllabus is one such section, which most of the students find tough. The reason behind this is the lack of practice. You cannot learn or mug up this subject overnight and get through the IBPS RRB selection procedure. You have to do the proper practice of this section before appearing for the exam. So follow the right approach and don’t let this subject make you afraid.

## Quantitative Aptitude Preparation for IBPS RRB PO Prelims 2022

### 1. Clear the Basics

• The first and foremost thing to do is to be clear about basic mathematics which is the most important tool required to solve Quantitative Aptitude problems.
• So, first, work on these basic concepts if you are not good at them.
• For example, if you are weak in multiplication or division or in any basic mathematical operation the first prepare for that, learn multiplication technique, memorize the multiplication table, learn basic mathematical operations division, addition subtraction, Simplification technique, Basic mathematical formulas like (a+b)^2, (a+b)^3 or any class ten-level basic mathematics.
• Another important thing is to memorize the table from 1-30, Squares up to 50, and cubes up to 30. This will help you in the fast calculation. Which is very important.
• Understand the concepts of some key chapters of Maths which are Ratio, Percentage, and Average.
• Proficiency in these three chapters is required to clear the cut-off of the exam. Also, it is important to fetch maximum marks in the exam in the Quantitative aptitude section.

### 2. Know the most important chapters for the exam

• It is important to know the frequently asked chapters in the exam. So that you can prepare accordingly.
• Questions on Simplification/Approximation are frequently asked in the exam. Also, these chapters can be solved in a minimum time, so always keep these topics on a high priority.
• Number series is another important topic, which you must practice. Try to solve as many questions as you can. In this way, you will be familiar with the maximum number of number series patterns.
• Another important chapter for IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 exam 2021 is Quadratic equations.
• Data Interpretation is such a topic that has a really good weightage in the exam. This is a combination of Ratio, percentage, average. So if you are good at these basic maths topics, then performing well in Data Interpretation will be an easy task for you.
• In arithmetic chapters, the most important ones are Partnerships, Percentage and its application, Ratio and Proportion, Time and Work, SI & CI, Profit and Loss, and Average.
• Also, questions on BODMAS and Number series are frequently asked in previous years, so if you command mathematical operators and Number Series this section will be sufficient for you to clear the cutoff.

• While preparing for the exam, you should always prepare topic-wise. Do not pick any random chapter and start practicing.
• Follow a proper topic-wise schedule so that you can cover each and every topic efficiently.
• The topic preference list should be according to your choice.

• You should aim at expertise in the high-level question of the topics. If you aim at high-level questions, ultimately you can solve easy and medium-level questions.
• In the current pattern of the exam, most questions asked are of a high level. You can even take a note from IBPS RRB cut-off officer scale 1.

• For the competitive exams, the most important thing is time. Sometimes you know the method to solve every question in the exam, but what you lack is time.
• To avoid such situations, always practice questions within a certain time limit.
• The ideal time to solve one question is 37 seconds if you aim at solving this section in 25 minutes.

• While your preparation, there must be some topics in which you are very strong and some must be those topics in which you are weak.
