Direction: Rearrange the following six sentences (A), (B), (C), (D), (E), and (F) in a proper sequence to form a meaningful paragraph: then answer the questions that follow.

A) Advertising is pricy, and the $10, $20, $500 signup incentives for riders and drivers add up fast, too.
B) The economic structure of online platforms such as UBER are well-understood by business strategists: platforms must continue to attract users on both sides of the market — both buyers and sellers — since they extract revenue from the economic activity on the platform.
C) But user acquisition costs money.
D) This two-sided market structure means that user acquisition and retention are critical; each side of the market needs the other for the market to succeed.
E) Such platforms also need to discourage participants from leaving — either by leveraging network effects such that its nearly impossible for alternate services to seriously compete since everyone and their friends are already in one place (think Facebook), or by raising switching costs to make it more difficult to defect to competitor platforms.
F) Because marginal costs for is minimal, every new user stands to significantly increase revenue while requiring almost no additional resources.

"The answer is  D"

The first statement should be option B as it introduces the concept of online platforms and their framework for earning revenue based on profiteering on both sides of the market. The next statement should be option F which further explains how every additional user adds to the revenue earning with negligible cost. It should be followed by option D as it refers to this “two-sided market” and the importance of user acquisition and retention. Now, the next statement should be option C as it presents an issue associated with user acquisition stated in the preceding statement. Option C should be followed by option A which states examples for acquisition methods like advertising and incentives. It should be followed by statement E as it states about the next critical factor i.e. user retention by leveraging network effects and raising switching costs for the users.
The correct sequence is BFDCAE.
