The 53rd International Film Festival of India (IIFI) was organised at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium Panaji, goa from 20 – 28 November 2022. This film festival is jointly conducted by the National Film Development Corporation of India (under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting) and the state Government of Goa. We have come up with the list of 53rd IFFI here.
In 2022 edition of IFFI, the opening film was Austrian film ‘Alma & Oskar’, which was directed by Dieter Berner and Closing film was Polish movie ‘Perfect Number’ directed by Krzysztof Zanussi.
While, the opening Indian Feature film was Hadinelentu (Kannada) and The Show Must Go On (English) as the opening Indian Non-Feature film.
About IFFI Awards
- The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was organised in Bombay (Mumbai) in 1952.
- The festival is conducted every year from 1975 onwards.
- It is jointly organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (Ministry of I&B) and government of Goa.
- National Film Development Corporation of India Ltd (NFDC) and the Indian Film Industry are also take part in the organisation of the festival.

- This edition of IFFI has showcased a collection of 280 films from 79 countries.
- 25 features and 20 non-feature films has been showcased at the Indian Panorama section from a broad spectrum of entries.
