Eligibility Criteria
Essential Educational Qualifications
- Applicants must possess Diploma/ Engineering degree in Civil, Electrical & Mechanical or equivalent from a recognised university
Age limit
As on 01-01-2020
- The age of the candidates should be minimum 21 years and maximum of 30 years (for most of the posts).
- As per government norms, age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category.

Application Fee
- For general / OBC candidates application fee is ₹ 100
- SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Women are exempted from application fee.
- Candidates can pay the application fee either through cash by SBI Challan or by using net banking/credit card/debit card.
Selection Process
- Selection of candidates for SSC Junior Engineer will include two-stage process:
- All the candidates whose online applications are found to be in order will be called to appear in the Computer Based Examination
- Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows:
- UR: 30%
- OBC/ EWS : 25%
- Others: 20%
- Marks scored by candidates in Paper-I will be normalized and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
- Based on the performance in Paper-I+Paper-II, candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification
