Indian Navy SSR AA Selection Procedure 2022

The Selection criteria for the Indian Navy SSR AA Exam are as follows: –

AA-Selection of recruits is based on the all India order of merit on their performance in Computer-based Examination, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.
SSR-Selection of recruits is based on State-wise merit of their performance in Computer-based Examinations, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical exams.
Preliminary Medical Examination for recruitment will be considered only “Provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination”. Final Enrolment Medical Examination of all selected candidates will be held at INS Chilka. Candidates who are found medically fit in the Final Enrolment Medical Examination will be enrolled.

Indian Navy SSR AA Selection Process 2022 involves three different stages which are as follows:

Written Test
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Medical Standards

Indian Navy SSR AA Written Test – Stage 1

The initial stage of the Indian Navy AA and SSR selection procedure is based on the online written examination. Candidates need to crack the Indian Navy cut-off for the written examination in order to qualify for the next stage of selection which is only qualifying in nature. The Indian Navy online written exam will be conducted based on the following factors: –

Total number of questions – 100
Total marks allotted – 100
Total duration – 1 hour
Subjects – Science, Mathematics, English, General Awareness

Indian Navy SSR AA Physical Fitness Test – Stage 2

The second stage of the selection is of qualifying in physical standards. Below we have described the Indian Navy physical standards to be accomplished by the candidate in order to get selected for the next round of selection.

(a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.

(b) PFT will consist of the following factors:

1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
20 squats (Uthak Baithak)
10 Push-ups

Indian Navy SSR AA Medical Standards – Stage 3

Indian Navy medical standards for SSR and AA posts are as follows: –

Better Eye 6/6; Worse Eye 6/9; With Glasses: Better Eye 6/6; Worse Eye 6/6
Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.
Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearms, i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of the hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and the candidate will be barred from recruitment.
Medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as per medical standards prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
The candidate should be in good physical and mental health, free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.
Candidates who are found medically unfit will be advised to appeal against its findings, if they desire to do so, at INHS Kalyani, Visakhapatnam within a maximum period of 21 days.

Note:- Candidates are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax, and tartar removed from teeth prior to enrolment medical examination.

Indian Navy SSR AA Final Merit List 2022

The final merit list for Indian Navy AA and SSR will be prepared based on performance in the written examination subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT), as follows:-

(a) AA- Top 600 candidates (approx.) on all India order of merit, who meet the eligibility criteria for AA will be issued a call letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka.

(b) SSR- Approximately 2500 candidates will be issued a call letter for the final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state-wise merit.
