Best Strategy to Clear SBI PO 2022 Exam
Before moving toward the preparation strategy for SBI PO 2022 exam, you must first understand the exam pattern and syllabus.
1. Know SBI PO 2022 Exam Pattern & Syllabus:
- There is no change in the SBI PO Prelims exam pattern. Like the previous year,
- There is no sectional cut off for both, the PrelimS and MainS examination
- To make it to the merit list, it is imperative that the students plan their preparation strategy cautiously.
- A total of 3 sections will be asked in the Prelim examination i.e, Quant, Reasoning, and English. You have to prepare the important topics in each of these sections. Also, after the introduction of sectional timing, you can not just rely on that one section that you are most comfortable with.
- In the main exam, there are the following sections
- Reasoning & Computer Ability
- General Awareness
- English Ability
- Data Interpretation and Analysis
- In the Mains, there is a descriptive paper of 50 marks. You get 30 mins to answer 2 questions based on your application, letter, or essay.
- Prepare each section sincerely and try to attain a good overall score.

3. Go through the Previous Year's Papers for SBI PO Exam
- Once you have gone through the list of important topics to prepare, go through the previous year's SBI PO question papers and see the trends that have been followed in all these years.
- Attempt those papers, check your score, analyze where you stand, and then start working on your performance.
- Sometimes, the student thinks that he is having proficient knowledge of a particular topic. But attempting the question in a particular time frame with accuracy is not very easy.
- So, practicing papers help you figure out the list of topics in which you need to
- Understand and clear the basics.
- Increase speed and accuracy.
- Start from scratch.
On the basis of the above list, you can divide your hours of study for a particular section accordingly.
4. Strengthen Weak Areas and Polish Strong Areas:
- After analyzing your strong and weak areas you have to start working on them.
- Generally, students focus on strengthening their weak areas but neglect their forte. This, however, needs to be avoided.
- You need to give sufficient time to all the sections and practice each of them devoutly.
Follow the given below point to polish your weak areas:
- Strengthen weak areas: Prepare the list of topics you need to work on. On the basis of your knowledge, decide the order of preference i.e, those topics that you need to devote maximum time to, etc. Work on your weak areas and treat them as a challenge.
- Improve speed and accuracy: Whenever you practice questions, keep an eye on your speed and accuracy. Set a goal to attempt the maximum number of questions with 90% accuracy in a minimum time period. It will provide you with an extra edge over other students.
5. Prepare for SBI PO Prelims and Mains Exams Simultaneously:
- A common trend noticed among the students is the fact that they start preparing for Mains only after they clear the Prelim stage.
- Their primary focus, while preparation, is only on the First Stage. Please note that this strategy will not work in the long run.
- You may clear the prelim but would not have enough time to prepare for the main examination.
- A smart aspirant will never follow this approach. He/She works simultaneously for each of the exam phases, treating them all holistically and not as separately.
- Give special attention to current affairs. In the Main Examination, the General Awareness section can help you score higher.
- Prepare current affairs on a daily basis.
- Make notes of current affairs and do not forget to derive all the static facts. Along with this, go through the banking terminologies, history of the banking, and current updates as well.

- Only when you attempt a particular section within a proper time limit, you will be able to strategize your approach for the final exam.
- You will know about the silly mistakes that you can avoid and figure out the topics which take a lot of time and should be saved for last.
- Try to attempt 25+ questions in each section and attain a 20+ score in each of them in the prelims test.
- Also, plan your safe attempt in each section. Try to attain a good score while practicing. It will help you in achieving your goal.
8. Attempt Full-length Mock Test Daily:
- After achieving a good pace over the sectional test, attempt 1 full mock test daily 20 days before the exam.
- This way, you can check your daily score. Try to increase it day by day and maintain accuracy.
