Linguistic states mean that the states are divided on the basis of their regional languages. This is because India has many languages. In 1895, in what is now Odisha, an etymological development that was unique to its kind started. People who spoke Oriya formed Odisha and broke away from Bihar. Similar to how the Telugu-speaking population split off from them and formed Andhra Pradesh, the Tamil-speaking population from Madras did the same.
The most noteworthy suggestion was the creation of linguistic states to reorganise states on the premise of accommodating their languages.
