Indian Army JAG 29th Course Eligibility Criteria
JAG Stands for Judge Advocate General Branch, It is the legal branch of the Indian Army. It deals with Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Army related disciplinary cases and prove legal assistance to the army in human rights matters and the rule of law among other things. Below are the eligibility criteria required for JAG 29 Course.

Indian Army JAG 29th Course Vacancies:
- Men- 06
- Women- 03
A Short Service Commission will be granted to Male and Female for 14 years. For an initial period of Ten years extendable by a further period of four years.
Indian Army JAG 29th Course Training:
Cadets will be trained at OTA, Chennai for 49 weeks
Procedure to Apply for JAG 29th Course
- Visit the official website of Indian Army
- Click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (If you have already registered then there is no need to register again on
- Candidates need to fill the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully.
- The next step after registration will be to click on ‘Apply Online’ under the dashboard
- A page ‘Officers Selection – ‘Eligibility’ will open. Then click ‘Apply’ shown against the SSC JAG Entry Course.
- After this ‘Application Form’ will open. Read all the instructions carefully and click ‘Continue’ to fill details as required under various segments.
- Only after checking all your details, click on ‘Submit Now’.
Indian Army JAG 29th Course Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting of Applications: The candidates are shortlisted by MoD (Army). After shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email.
- Aspirants have to visit the official website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first-come-first-serve basis initially.
- Candidates will be tested by the two-stage selection procedure
- Those who clear Stage I will continue to Stage II. Those who fail on stage I will be returned on the same day. Duration of the SSB interview is 05 days.
- Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued a joining letter for training after the declaration of merit list.
