The area of the four walls of a cuboidal room with dimensions of 2: 5: 4 (length, width, and height), and a sum of 55 cm, is 1400 cm2.
It follows that
Ratio Length : Breadth : Height = 2 : 5 : 4
Sum Length + Breadth + Height = 55 cm
By using the formula we get
Area can be found using the formula 2 H (L + B)
Let us calculate
Consider length, breadth, and height as 2x, 5x, and 4x.
It can be written as
2x + 5x + 4x = 55 cm
By adding them we get
11x = 55 cm
Now on dividing both sides by 11
x = 5 cm
We get
Length L = 10 cm
Breadth B = 25 cm
Height H = 20 cm
By calculating the area = 2 × 20 (10 + 25) = 1400 cm2
Therefore, the area of four walls is 1400cm2
Summary:-
Find the Area of the four walls of a Cuboidal room having length, breadth, and height in the ratio 2 : 5 : 4 and their Sum is 55 cm – 1. 1500 cm^2 2. 1520 cm^2 3. 1400 cm^2 4. 1380 cm^2
1400cm2 is the area of the four walls of a cuboidal room having their sum is 55 cm and breadth, length, and height in the ratio 2 : 5 : 4
