OICL AO Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2017 (Prelims & Mains)

OICL (Oriental Insurance Company Limited) 2017 has released the official notification for the post of administrative officers. OICL AO 2017 Exam will be conducted in three phases – Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam & the Descriptive. It is mandatory for the candidate to clear each level of the exam to get selected in OICL as an Administrative Officer. To help you more we are sharing the complete exam pattern & detailed syllabus with weightage for upcoming Oriental Insurance Administrative Officer Exam 2017.

OICL AO Exam Pattern 2017

OICL AO 2017 Exam is further split into three different stages. These are as follows:

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam
• Descriptive Test

OICL AO Prelims Exam Pattern

The preliminary phase of OICL AO 2017 Exam consists of 100 marks online test with a time duration of 1 hour. This test would be consisting of 3 sections as follows:

OICL AO Mains Exam Pattern

The second phase of the exam is mains. Mains Exam consists of objective tests for 200 marks with an objective test which will also be conducted online. The mains examination is divided into two different categories for generalists & specialists. For generalists there are 4 sections whereas for specialists there are 5 sections which are as follows:

Descriptive Test: –

The descriptive Test will comprise of 30 marks with a total time duration of 30 minutes. The test will be conducted in the English language through online mode where the candidate will get a letter writing of 10 marks & an essay comprising of 20 marks.

Important Points to remember: –

1) Never forget the negative marking which carries a 0.25 mark penalty for every wrong answer applicable to both prelims & mains.

2) Candidates have to qualify separately & obtain a minimum total score in each subject to be shortlisted as per the marks decided by the organisation.

3) Candidates shortlisted at the end of phase II will subsequently be called for an interview.

4) The Final Selection will be based on the marks obtained in mains examination & in an interview where the weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.

5) The final merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks secured by the candidates.
